A bridge arrangement cannot be selected from height alone. Skyline needs the clear distance to be crossed, photographs or drawings of the obstruction, possible tower positions and the work to be performed. The final arrangement and use remain subject to site approval and controls.
Clear Span to Be Crossed
Measure the actual unsupported distance and note any additional clearance needed for equipment, walkways or operations below.
Support Tower Positions
Both tower bases need suitable space and conditions; an obstruction-free span is not useful if the supports cannot be positioned safely.
Platform Protection
Decking, guardrails, toe boards and access to the bridge level are treated as part of the proposed system.
Site Load and Operating Limits
People, tools and materials must remain within the limits stated for the approved configuration, with the area below controlled as required.
